The insane winds blew in some chilly weather into Chicago this week! I whipped out my heavy wool jacket, pashmena and....not my gloves, because I couldn't find them.

So! Good thing I'm going shopping today because I think I'm going to replace my lost gloves with these...

Freck's Friday Fancies LXV

Ahhhh it's finally here! What am I fancying this week...? Well? I don't really know if I can pinpoint one exact thing, but I will tell you that I'm having the biggest shopping itch ever. Not. Good. Stressed mixed with not shopping for awhile must do that to you!

So! Having said that, what am I doing this weekend? Well, after the necessary tasks (cleaning, workout, grocery shopping, yada yada...) I plan on hitting up J.Crew and Club Monaco to see what I've been missing out on this season.

Sigh, here's what I'm jonesin' for (and fancying!)...

I think I'm finally going to take the plunge!

Does this scream Holidays or what? Yeah, I said it!

Although I think the stockings with those shorts are silly, I'm diggin' that coat!

I'll look but won't touch this.

Not boring ones. Hey, don't get me wrong, I love the classics. My entire closet is full of classics, but lately I've been wearing (and jones'n) for the the zestier ones.

PS do you remember dusters? Those really long sweaters that almost reached the floor? I want to say this trend was circa Fall 2001. I totally rocked a gray one and a black one.

Anywho, these zesty sweaters are perfect for layering over a tank and jeggings with boots. Jes?

Freck's Friday Fancies LX

I'm so glad it's Friday folks.

Although things are slowing down, it's still been quite a week. Tomorrow's agenda involves some quality time with a girlfriend who's getting married in TWO WEEKS (eee!) where we'll be practicing her makeup for her big day, potentially having some diy fun then her bachelorette partay is that evening. Woot woot!

Why?

Yesterday I walked out the front door and got a bite of fresh, chilled Fall air. Fall is the best. And so are caramel apples and chai's. Mmm..cue the hot fire, cozy scarves and amazing boots and I have myself a little party.

As you know from yesterday's post, I'm really looking forward to Fall. I was pleasantly surprised to see I'm not the only one! :)


However, when I saw Piperlime's latest email, I about died when I saw one of their idea's for next season's trend...

Am I missing something? I don't find this flattering..? I do love the skinny, cropped pant with heels, but the cargo pockets on the side kill me a little on the inside. Aren't we always going for a streamlined look down the leg? Yes?
