It's Friday! Has it been the longest week ever or what? With all the Holiday parties coming up, I have been thinking about what one would wear to these parties. I mean, it's stressful, and a big deal, but it's really not a big deal at all. Two cocktails in you don't give a hoot what you're wearing and all that stressing was over nothing. Am I right or amiright?

Freck's Friday Fancies XXXVIII

Holy cow it was difficult to get up this morning! When I got up at 6:45 this morning, my body was still on San Diego time so it felt like 4:45 am. I can’t complain though, I had an amazing time.

We ended up going to the USS Midway on Wednesday afternoon which is a museum on an air craft carrier. It was so awesome, pictures to come. Hats off to all in the navy, not only are they hard workers, but the space within the ship is so small. I felt so claustrophobic, which is a feeling I rarely experience.

Anyway, I was welcomed back home by my bonus (woohoo!) and of course now I'm thinking about what I want to treat myself with. I think I'd like a trench coat; it’s a staple item and I want one for Spring!

Here are this week’s fancies…

I always crave this one from Burberry, Too bad I’d rather not spend most of my bonus on this.

I have a confession.

...

I've only worn my J. Crew boots that I was DYING for and annoying you about only a handful of times.

I don't mean to do it purposely, heavens no. They're beautiful and I'm pretty sure I'd chop off my pinky if someone were to try to take them from me.

Ok not really, I'm sorry that was so graphic. I just really love them.

I have a 9-5 at a fairly business casual/professional company where I can't wear these boots with jeans all the time. I mean think about it, you can only wear these boots with only so many outfits. I have a mostly black professional and business casual wardrobe, how do beautiful brown boots fit in to that?

Any suggestions?

I think an addition of a nice tan or brown cardi with a jewel tone dress ..say this one..

would do the trick.. yes?

I'm normally not a brand whore (I really don't care for Gucci), but I friggen love Burberry trenches and David Yurman anything. My Limited/J.Crew/Nordies combo spruced up with some "fun tights" had nothing on this sister's ensemble.

Anywayyyy Guess who got her new Real Simple?!

I'm already a couple pages in and loving it. For those of you who've picked up your issue, be sure to read the holiday mishaps. They're so funny!! The mishap about how the woman's oven door blowing off is the funniest.

Weekend Recap + The Limited

My weekend was fantastic! It was full of relaxing and prepping for my business trip to Santa Barbara. Holy toledo I still can't believe I'm going!

We spent a couple hours on Sunday at an outdoor mall in the burbs. It was an absolutely perfect outside so being outdoors was wonderful. I had an extremely successful trip at The Limited. I walked in wanting a couple of items (to wear in SB for an extra boost of confidence :) ) and walked out of the dressing room wanting EVERYTHING I tried on!! First time for everything?! This is what I got...

I also was searching for a professional carry-on. I don't want to risk losing my professional wardrobe on the way to a convention!
