What an action packed weekend! Not really, but I felt like I did a lot :)
Friday TBF and I went here and ate SO much because it's SO good! We left feeling pretty awful though..eek. Saturday we went to the gym and then one of my girlfriends, H, and I went to...
We signed in, were given the color palettes for the spring line and then greeted with drinks and a model in an orange wig. There were a whole bunch of people crowded around the four color stations - gold, coral, pink and purple but overall there were far less people there than I thought there would be.
We were a little confused as to what to do, so we asked a cute pregnant MAC woman and she basically grabbed us and went to town on our faces. She was awesome. We weren't in the middle of the crowd either, in fact we took over a Nike shoe display table out of the way. It was great.
We walked out of the event with the same attitude - Meh. We loved the makeup, but we already have most of the colors she put on us. Her technique was awesome, I felt like I had the right amount of makeup on my eyes, lips and cheeks. Although I'm pretty good at applying my eye makeup, I can't really buy her professional technique. If only it were that easy... :)
It's all what you make of it. Even though we weren't blown away with the makeup or the event, we still had a great time. So glad H could come with me!

Yesterday was the SUPERBOWL! Go Saints! So glad they won. TBF and I went to an old friend's (it'd been wayyy too long) and we had a great time. Did I say Go Saints yet?! ;)
This weekend flew by. Hope everyone had a nice weekend!!
I was chatting with the MAC gal behind the counter at Nordies last week and after awhile, she asked me if I was going to the MAC event in early February. I told her I didn't know what she was talking about and then she proceeded to tell me about this event that I am bouncing off the walls excited about.
The event is a spring line pre-launch (Living in Lillyland) for MAC cosmetics at Nordstrom on Michigan Ave after hours on a Saturday in February.
I'm still on my search for a dry shampoo that works well on dark hair. I think I'm going to try out this one because it's an aerosol, which I think I like more in general, and it may blend into my dark hair easier...I'll be sure to report back about it. Has anyone tried this one??
Klorane Dry Shampoo, $18 Tommy, that's a great question!! I've been looking at Sephora but they all seem to be so friggen expensive, however I think your right by just looking at Sephora since with dry shampoo you totally get what you pay for!
I'm off to DC tonight for the weekend, so it's a half-day at work for me today! Love me a half day. Have a great weekend everyone, tgif!!
This Freck who was pretty close to platinum blonde is now a brunette. Picture Reese Witherspoon as a blonde going to brunette (which can be seen in my Monday post). Yes, like that.
Wow.
I’ve never had a drastic change like this before, and I.love.it. Not only is it hilarious seeing people’s reactions (because they don’t recognize me at first), but I seriously just love it.
To those of you who have made this kind of transformation before, you know how fun it is to put on makeup and see how it looks different – even my clothes look different! It’s nuts. I think I’m going to invest in some deeper colored sweaters, cardis, eye makeup (olives and plums) and even play around with some lipstick…maybe test out some items like this…
Yes, as you can see my love/hate relationship with J. Crew has transformed back to love…I just can’t stay away..
I've always wanted to sport some of this, I think I will now...MAC, $14
I'm really looking forward to less maintenance. All of you fake blondes out there listen up, it's not that scary. I've faked it since I was about 14 (and I'll probably fake it again in the future) and I (for now) am in love with being a brunette.
I may post some pictures of the back of my head later in the week to give you a better idea of the transformation :)
Sir, if your on the L filled to the brim with white collar workers who are on their way to their cube for a 9-5 day, I highly doubt they want to listen to your rap music. It makes our ears bleed.
Clouds, why must you create nasty rain with wicked wind? Not good for the hair or my boots that make me almost slip and fall on my tooty while walking into work.
Little convenience store near work, please purchase a CC machine that works so there isn’t a huge line of people waiting who have to put their items down because “they don’t got cash.”
Freck, why can’t you keep better track of your umbrella so you don’t have to take poor TBF’s in the morning so he doesn’t have one?
They're foreign to me. Yes, they're simple items that make sound louder, but I don't know what's best for my mac. As some of you know, I'm having a little birthday party tomorrow, and I need some speakers.
Here are a few I've selected, let me know which one you'd get...
Hooray! That makes me feel pret-ty darn good my fellow followers. Thanks for following :)
I know some of you have been bloggy wogging for awhile, but this gal started at the end of last year so I feel this is a bit of a landmark for me. So awesome :)
So anyway...
As some of you know, I love The Superficial..it's kind of a guilty pleasure. However today when I saw this entire ode entitled The Superficial: Wait, WTF is That? I couldn't help but feel bad for everyone they pointed out! Take a look for yourself.
Bad Superficial! Don't make fun of these gals who can't help it if they have some physical flaws! Boo!
TR and I are hangin out and watched The Muffin video...always a stupid, but funny video to watch :)
Ok...a Really stupid video...but you laughed at least once, didn't you?
TR and I went to Anthropologie today, we both agreed that it's SUCH a relaxing store. She found a great black dress that was for sale. I loved all of the new dresses...
