It's pooooourrrrinnngggg in Chicago, friends. I think I smell like a wet dog.
I almost stepped outside this morning with just a hood on, and I didn't even think to go grab my umbrella because it's been so long since it's actually rained and not snowed. I decided I REALLY need to get some rain boots. I can't find the perfect pair though. The hunt is on.
These are also available at J. Crew for the same price!
I want to invest in a cute umbrella sometime, too. The only one I have right now is like $5.99 and from Target but it's awesome because it folds up so that it fits in my bag.
Check out the most expensive umbrella in the world:
$50,000!!!!
Holy.Cow.
I don't even like it......thoughts??
Speaking of H2O. I was told yesterday that plastic water bottles shouldn't be refilled AT ALL because it heightens your risk of getting cancer. Could someone confirm this for me please? I knew it wasn't good for you if you refilled it more than 3 or so times, but I'd never heard I'd get cancer. I refill all the time!! Oh dear...
Alrighty, stay dry everyone!!!
Later..I may post the painting I finished last night...we'll see...

I personally LOVE the expensive ones (own a pair) because of the lining that you can get to go along with them. They are super durable and great for when the snow comes.
Hmm, never heard that about water bottles. But it seems like everything is somehow linked to cancer, doesn't it?
Um, I can't see how reusing a water bottle can cause cancer. As long as you aren't sharing the water bottles with other people (and therefore spreading germs), there should be no harm in using them again and again. That rumor sounds like something the bottled water companies came up with to make people buy more water.
Confirmed. I'm going to go with you on this one Meggers because I'm not about to keep rebuying bottled water or a nice water bottle either. Thanks!
So here is the scoop on the plastics = cancer scare. There are certain types of plastic (we're talking PVC type) that contain chemicals that can be released if you do something like boil it then drink the water. BUT you have to consume such a huge amount that there really is no scare at all. Think in terms of the sweetners in diet coke can give you cancer but you pretty much have to drink 10 gallons a day for like 30 years. So you're totally in the clear! As for the rainboots - I vote Target!
