Full.

...and I'm totally stuffed with Valentine's day goodies. All day I enjoyed goodies. All. Day. Darn it that today was coincidentally the day that the Girl Scout cookies I ordered arrived. Blerg.

So good. What wedding diet?

All You Need Is Love.

Have a Happy Valentine's day weekend everyone :)

We're not huge Valentine's day celebrators, but with this being our first together since we got engaged, we kind of celebrated more than we even meant to? If that makes sense? Let me explain!

Last Thursday evening, TBF surprised me with this beautiful necklace from Jess LC.

Friday morning I surprised him with a knife skills class at The Chopping Block which was amazing!!

Lastly, tomorrow we're going to one of our favorite restaurants on the North side. I'm drooling already!

What are you up to? Single, taken, who cares?

My "new" desk + Why not? Some extra pics, too :)

First of all - it seems that the opinions on the florals are pretty half and half. Some hate it, some love it. I'm in the middle, if you can rock it, go for it, if you're me, I think I'll sit back and watch others rock it :)

Onto my "new" desk!

Remember when I wanted a desk badly and I was looking high and low for an inexpensive one? Well, I was cleaning out my closet and in the heat of the moment I started switching around my furniture. You know what I mean - when you just get in the cleaning mode.

Keep in mind that I have a studio so it's easy for me to switch things around and create a different look.

Anyway, and what did I find? I realized that if I switched my entryway table up a bit, it could be a mini desk!

See?

I'm loving it so far, we'll see how long it lasts. It was super cheap, so I think I'll keep it like this for awhile *wink wink*

While going through my recently added pictures, I thought: Why not? I'll post a couple from Valentine's Day, too :)

The chocolate covered strawberries were a hit!

I was surprised with these babies (from TBF) when I was cleaning like a maniac on Saturday morning.

***Emo boy update***

I feel like this kid should get his own page on here. No, I won't give him the honor! ;)

Remember sleeping beauty? He was woken up by Emo boy's screaming (er, I mean singing) in his bathroom (which is right under ours).

Also, we were beating some chicken last night (something that takes less than a minute and is kind of loud) to tenderize it on the counter and what was his response? BLASTING his music. Talk about passive aggressive. Buttface.

Happy Hump Day!!

E is Even more than anyone that you adore...

Here we are!

It's Valentine's Day and the last of my four L.O.V.E posts:

L is for the way you Look at me,
O
is for the Only One I see,
V
is Very Very extraordinary,
E is even more than anyone that you adore...

So I'm not really sure what to think of the last lyric, but I do know that one thing I truly adore is spending quality time, doing fun activities with the one I adore.

Dancing, yep, I'm talking anything from dance parties to receptions here. We can bust a move. I know..thank goodness I wore those spankies that day..

Boating. Thanks to papa Freck, we're able to enjoy this activity. Nothin' better than relaxing together, am I right or am I right?! No George, I'll get it! Don't you move!

Cooking. There's just something about creating a yummy and new recipe then enjoying it together with the one you adore. What? You don't sexily and perfectly swing your hair over your shoulder while you're model boyfriend/husband cooks away for you? ...oh..

Dining out. We've been trying to eat out less, so when we do, we definitely appreciate it more. So excited to dine here tonight.

Exercising, okay so maybe it's just easier for us to break a sweat together.

Traveling. Maybe not the actual transporting of ourselves (because little known fact, we seem to have bad luck when traveling home together because always get stranded for at least a day when we try to go home because our flights get canceled), but adventuring around a new place together is so fun.

A good movie. This has kind of become "our" movie. ...if you can have one..?

All you need is love.

I'm going to continue trying to fight off this cold so I'm feeling better by dinner tonight.

Hope you have a great Valentine's Day!!

Love

L is for the way you Look at me...

Welcome to the first of four Valentines day posts, starting with L for love.

Because, why not? Valentine's day is around the corner and it's fun post candy. I'm not a die hard V-day fan, but it's fun to see the different gifts and ideas people come up with every year for their
lover's.

I want to stress that these gifts can be given and/or shared with loved ones like your friends and family, too. I know what it's like being single and sassy and independent and it was a blast, this was the only time of year when I was annoyed with being single. So, I hope these four
posts make you feel like you can share this Valentine's day with friends, family or proudly solo, too!

Ghirardelli Chocolate Souffles. Who doesn't
love chocolate?

Love Letter Charm, $4.97

Framed Love, $35

Get a tat of your lover's name on your necklace. This one's less of a commitment ;) $29.99

Hanging Love Note Pillow, $12

I looooooooove these, this could be a fun activity you could do together?? Pssst, this desert doesn't make me feel as guilty because it's mostly fruit!

TBF have made plans to spend our Valentine's day together on Saturday (the 13 rather than Sunday the 14) at one of our favorite restaurants downtown. What are your plans?

**Note**

I'm still working on my blog template, html is rough! Props to those of you who had a smooth process! I don't have much patience for trial and error, so pretty please bear with me.

I've spaced out the margins a bit, but I'm still not loving the layout. My eyes get a little confused and don't know where to look. Maybe I'm just nuts. Either way, hopefully I'll get it fixed soon!

What do you think of the new layout? Is it too cluttered? Are there too many colors? I'm considering putting two sidebars on the right rather than on either side of my post section. I'm always looking for a new header, too, so any advice as to who I could go to for help would be much appreciated! Thanks!
